Kevin Coyne
Stumbling On To Paradise

1987

The first German LP after recovering from drinking and stress. Kevin was backed by young musicians from Nuremberg, later named “The Paradise Band”. The title says it all, the record is a very solid statement of survival. The music sounds quite different now in a nearly mainstream high energy rock outfit but Kevin and the band are fresh and vital. Keytracks: I’m still here, Victoria smiles. (Uwe Schillhabel)

“Kevin Coyne’s new songs are radical person reactions, they adumbrate a pain-filled cheerfulness. Coyne once again demonstrates his talent as an R&B singer. ‘Stumbling On To Paradise’ is the best rock album that’s ever been produced in Nuremberg. The vulnerable clown of rock seems through this detour to have come one step closer to paradise”. (Steffen Radlmeier, Nürnberger Nachrichten)
